Okay, so let's get into a simple sales process or sales funnel that you can use with your Instagram content. Now, this process I'm gonna teach you is a proven process. And how do I know that? Well, I myself own two different companies. I own a brick and mortar dance studio.

and I own an online business, which is my Instagram coaching and consulting business. And this process has driven leads and sales for both of my brands. In fact, in my dance studio business, we increased our revenue by 84% in 12 months, got over 5,000 people on our email list, landed so many incredible opportunities. For my coaching business, my content is working like a machine around the clock.

understand your ideal client. What are they struggling with? What do they desire? What do they want? And how can you serve them with your products or services? Because your product or service is a solution to a problem that they have right now. So this is where I want you to go back to part one of this three part mini series, because that's when I taught you about the triple E formula. And I'm going to review it quickly

So I want you to think about how you can E, educate them, E, entertain them, or E, connect with them emotionally. Those are the three Es, educational, emotional, or entertaining content. Those are king on Instagram right now. And they have been for a long time and they will continue to be.

as we move into 2025. Today I got off a coaching call with a private client who is a yoga instructor. She is an intuitive healer. She does sound healing, massage, body work. Her work is just so beautiful. And some of the content that she's created is really awesome. She created a reel where she was teaching a breath practice, but she was missing a crucial piece. And that is the call to action.

So many of us business owners, we create content, but then that's it. We just expect people to know what to do with it, or we expect that people are gonna spend five minutes figuring out how they can work with us. And the reality is, is that we're living in this attention economy, and people need to be told the next step of what to do with your content, and also, hey, if I like you, how can you help me? How can I grab your product or service?

And when I want it, I want it now, okay? So that's why this process that I'm gonna teach you today works. It's working within the culture of Instagram and making the resistance to the sale so much lower so that way you can drive higher conversions. And I'm gonna talk you through how to do that. But essentially, you're creating a piece of content that helps your ideal client, that makes them feel seen.

Like I crawled into their brain and they're like, how does Elizabeth know what I'm thinking or what I'm struggling with? And it's not fluff. I mean that is probably one of the biggest things I want you to walk away from this episode is Your content truly does need to help me. It needs to solve a problem for me now. We're not talking clickbait. We're talking real value Zero gatekeeping sharing being very generous with your wisdom

And as you do that, it's really incredible what happens. You will get so much more engagement on your posts, engagement meaning likes, comments, shares, saves, but you will also be established as a leader in your space, a thought leader, an expert. And as people know who you are and what you do, because of course you're gonna be talking about it all the time, when they need your product or service, you are gonna be their go-to person. So it's very imperative that

in your content, it all starts with your content, that you come from this place of service. I always think of sales are being of service to your ideal client because when I am buying your product, like you're helping me, I need that thing, right? Or if I'm investing in your program, you're helping me to get to my next level.

So you always want to think about the value that your product or service brings and how you can start to serve and bring that value through your free content on Instagram. So use that triple E formula. And if you're feeling a little confused about exactly what kind of content is good content, go and listen to those last two episodes. And frankly, all the episodes that I've released, because I always talk and teach each week as exactly how to create the best possible content.

that's gonna perform well for your business. So you've created this piece of content that really resonates with your ideal client. They love it, they're saving it, they're sharing it. Now what? The next step is make sure you include a clear call to action or CTA. Your goal is to make it ridiculously easy for them to move from just watching or binging your content to actively engaging in your business. So how do we do this? This leads me into step two. Use a keyword

to trigger DM automation. Now I'm gonna be talking about DM automation, but even if you don't yet have DM automation and you don't wanna use it yet and you wanna do it manually, you can use this method. Here's the magic. So instead of waiting for people to randomly take action and you're just hoping that they're gonna stop scrolling.

click over to your bio, they're gonna read through your bio and then they're gonna click the link in your bio and then they're gonna scroll through all your links and find whatever it is that they're looking for. You can say a prayer and hope that that will happen or you can give them a specific keyword to comment or DM you. And what happens is when they comment this specific keyword, it triggers an automatic message straight to their inbox on Instagram.

so you can instantly connect with your audience even while you're asleep. And I love this so much because I don't know about you, but I don't wanna be glued to my phone 24 seven. I wanna take breaks, I wanna unplug. I even like to turn my phone off from time to time. But the coolest part about the strategy I'm teaching you is that every time I log back into my Instagram, I have new leads. I have new people joining my email list.

I have new people inquiring about my services because my content is working for me 24 seven. So let me give you an example. So let's say I create a reel about how to use DM automation to increase your sales on Instagram. And then I say, comment the word leads and I'll send you my free DM automation guide. Okay, so that's an example of that's a piece of content that has to do with whatever it is that I'm giving them.

They comment the keyword, my DM automation automatically sends them a message that includes the link to the resource that I'm giving them. So the resource could be any kind of link. So sometimes people are confused about this. They're like, what do I send them? Any link that you would normally send to a client. So a link to your shop, a link to your freebie or your lead magnet, a link to your sales call calendar.

Whatever is the next step for people to take in your business, that is the link that you're gonna send them. The coolest part about this is not only is it so supportive to business owners who are very busy and cannot be on Instagram at all times monitoring their comments or engagement, it provides a seamless experience for your audience. Because when I go to your page, and let's say you're selling vinyl records and I'm like,

Oh my gosh, I want that and it's on pre-sale. Okay, yes, send me the link. If I have to wait 10 hours for you to log back on Instagram to send me the link, I've already moved on. Maybe I've already bought it from a different record store or maybe I totally forgot about it and now I'm not even interested in it anymore. So it's very powerful because the minute that people are like, yes, I want that, within seconds, they can get that resource at their fingertips and it really...

reduces the friction to the sale. That's one of the keys with sales is if it's confusing, people will not buy. You need to make it really simple for them. So when you direct message them a link, you make it a much better customer service experience for your people. Okay, so step one, you created a killer piece of content that I'm so excited to engage with. It's so fabulous that I comment step two, I comment.

your keyword because I want to get your freebie or I want to join your wait list or I want to hop on your calendar and have a free consult with you. So I comment your keyword, I get the direct message. Step three is be strategic about which links you're sending them. Now ideally I gave you these examples of a lead magnet, a sales page, a booking calendar, but here's the important part.

Whenever possible, I want you to try to capture their email address along the way. Why? Because Instagram's algorithm is changing all the time. You could lose access to your Instagram, God forbid, and you want to build an email list of your biggest fans and followers so you can continue to nurture them outside of the app. So your goal is really simple.

get those people who are already engaging with your content to take the next step. So whether that's downloading a freebie or joining a wait list or purchasing your offer. This simple sales process works because it aligns with how people naturally use Instagram. So think about when you've scrolled on Instagram and you're looking at reels. You're scrolling reels and let's say you come across one of my reels.

and you're like, oh my gosh, I love this, or it's so funny, or it's so helpful, or whatever it is. I capture your attention and I provide value. So that's the first step. The keyword makes it easy for me to engage with your content without overthinking it. Sometimes we tend to overcomplicate things on Instagram and you have to remember that when people come on to these apps, it's kind of like people sitting down and binging Netflix.

They kind of want to zone out. They're not here to get an MBA. They want it to be fun, easy, seamless, a no-brainer. Okay? So there's nothing simpler than just comment this word. It's very, very simple. And the automated follow-up ensures that they don't fall through the cracks. Because I don't know about you, but I am always flooded with lots of ideas and to-do lists and checklists and things I need to do. And...

I might see you doing a reel about your products or service and be like, oh my gosh, this is amazing. She sounds amazing. I want to work with her. But if I don't have a message from you, if I'm not in your email list, if I don't see it over and over again, I'm going to forget to take action on it. People need to see things at least seven to 10 times before they're going to take any action with you. So these automated messages really help to ensure that these.

Prospects don't fall through the cracks because you can always follow up with them. You can track who has Commented and who's shown interest in your products or services you can follow up with them You can send them a voice memo like I do to keep it really personal And this strategy also saves you time because you're not manually replying to every DM or sending out links so instead you can focus on creating more amazing content and serving your clients
